    In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Taapsee Pannu in conversation with Raj Shamani. She is loved for her movies like Thappad, Pink, Badla, Naam Shabana, and Saand ki Aankh. Her choice of roles has always reflected her thought leadership personality. And that’s what you will see in today’s podcast: Taapsee’s raw, unfiltered, candid thoughts, opinions, and life experiences.
    In this episode, she shared how she went from being a great student at school to being an engineer to being an actor. She shared her first movie experience and how much she earned in her first movie. We talked about why creators can’t be stars and what it means to be an actual star. She shared her relationship with her dad and how she strategically convinces him for various decisions. This was the most fun part of our conversation and I’m sure, you will have a great laugh! We also talked about what it means to be a ‘Man’ in a relationship, and what are some red flags in a relationship. She also talked about her decade-long relationship and what made both of them stick along for so long.
    We discussed what it takes apart from talent to make it big in the film industry, we also talked about her movie ‘Thappad’ and the thought process behind it. Towards the end, we talked about her friendship with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and her experience and memories with Mr. Shah Rukh Khan. We also talked about different parameters to understand the success of a movie.
    Don’t forget to subscribe to our channel because we come up with new episodes every Wednesday and Saturday.

    One of the best takeaway from Thappad was when the husband's friend/boss says that you were angry at the boss and you knew you can't slap him but you slapped your wife. It can be extended to so many things when you show your angers and extreme to others, the one you think are "beneath" you or the one you don't respect enough

    • @sanyadikshit
      @sanyadikshit 6 месяцев назад

      Absolutely right, and Tapsee rightly elaborated the concept of movie that it was not just a slap, all those small little things which led to this mindset of her husband that her wife is "beneath" her or he can slap her just because he was angry and bla bla.
      Couples should start taking care of little little things for their loved ones and we as a society will be improved by that.

      Yaa exactly where we feel ki ye kya hi bigad lega humra boss to senior tha, usne thappad bhi use hi mara jaha pta tha uska kch nuksaan nhi hoga brutal fact... Thappad is not just a thappad it's a disrespect and if not stopped earlier this one thappad can leads to many more thappad's where people think it is just a thappad don't normalise it for the youth take stand instead.....

    1. People often protect their reputation when they have none
    2. Secure person is more mature
    3. Looking for something outside means you have that empty space in you to fill thus be secure and aware about those spaces/insecurities
    4. Confidence and that Aura comes from knowing literally inside out of your product and not only work hard while building but after that too to market it :)

    A lot of Indian people wrongly judge a confident/headstrong woman as an arrogant woman. The fact that a woman is not intimidated or is unshakeable by influential/successful people in the industry, is a difficult pill to swallow. And Taapsee is one of the rare artists who stands her ground and is absolutely firm with her belief/value system. However, sometimes I feel that people like her may get consumed by this very trait about themselves and start looking at the men and the society through that single feminist lense; albeit unknowingly. Maybe because they seem to have built a demon inside their head so much, that it might become rather difficult to break away from that. One such casualty of this kind of over-feministic behaviour is Kangana Ranaut, Ratna Pathak Shah, Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan. Just hope that Taapsee doesn't join that gang, unknowingly.

    • @rakshyapokharel516
      @rakshyapokharel516 6 месяцев назад

      Being feminist doesn't mean looking down at men...it's not about feminism but about personal traits...some men look down upon women and similarly some women look down upon men but not every people are same...I am a feminist but I have a very good bond with my father and my husband...Men and women both need to be understanding, respectful and sensitive towards each other...Men in my lives be it my father, my uncle, my husband or my brother in law they are very respectful, caring, understanding and sensitive towards women so I am towards them...Relationship is a two way thing.

      Exactly, influencers are just creating the podcasts and content just for the sake of creating the content while compromising the quality, education and knowledge in their videos.

    Hi Raj bhai,
    The podcast is great and I've been waiting for Taapsee Pannu to appear on your show for a very long time. The journey she took from Pink to Dunki was interesting, and there are many lessons we can learn from it. For bringing that to us, I am really grateful to you, and I hope to see more like her in the future.
    Love you 3000 Raj bhai

    Wow what a mind blowing podcast she inspired me to be yourself no matter what if world agrees with you will continue if disagree will not so be firm on our on decisions world will adjust don't think what people will think do what you like to not the world. Her talking style reflected that she's clear of things and what she wanna achieve. I truly admire her that attitude what's her opinion is what she feels it might be different for others because their perspective are based on their life. I felt worth watching this podcast cuz she was completely legit and herself.i really admire her. I would want to see her again on your channel and wanna learn many more things from her experience in life.
